From the history of the publication of Auezov's works

In 2022, on the eve of the 125th anniversary of the literary classic, publicist and public figure Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov, the Institute of Literature and Art prepared a 55-volume academic collection of works.
Selected works were also published in 5 volumes.
Previously, the following editions were published in various years:
A 20-volume collection of the writer's works was published by Zhazushy Publishing House from 1979 to 1985;
A complete collection of Mukhtar Auezov's works in 50 volumes was published in 2014 by the Institute of Literature and Art;
Between 1973 and 1975, Khudozhestvennaya Literatura Publishing House (Moscow) published a 5-volume collection of his works in Russian, edited by his daughter, Leyla Auezova.

The image of Auezov in fiction
Few of our poets have celebrated the individuality of the writer, the unique nature and the whole story with their artistry, and some artists have taken their prose as a basis.

Auezov and music
Mukhtar Auezov's entire life was closely connected to music; he wrote about it and loved it his entire life. The writer grew up surrounded by music and poetry from childhood.

Auezov and the theater
Auezov is known to have been a prolific playwright. His works can often be seen on theatrical stages.

Filmography
Seven feature films have been made based on Auezov’s work, and the film “Triumphant Tragedy” (2009) was released about his life.
