TERMINOLOGICAL DICTIONARY OF KAZAKH FOLKLORE STUDY: INNOVATION APPROACHES AND NEW DIRECTIONS

Abstract of the project. The relevance of the project is conditioned by the need to introduce terms of folklore science into scientific circulation which are based on modern achievements of Kazakh folklore studies. Until now, the terms of folklore studies have not been fully specified in the domestic dictionaries. Complex terminological work, covering all aspects of Kazakh folklore studies, has not yet been implemented. The vocabulary of folklore studies terms will cover subject terms in alphabetical order, the meaning of each term will be revealed, complete information on the term will be provided. The methodology used: based on modern scientific, practical and theoretical conclusions of the world and national folklore science, textual, comparative-historical, comparative-typological, source-study, bibliographic, linguistic-folklore and other methods of analysis will be used in the process of project implementation. Formation of registers of folklore terms allows developing the theoretical level of Kazakh folklore science. This has a great influence on the development of national spirituality. The project implementers will strive to assess the specifics of Kazakh folklore, compare the process of formation of subject terms. Expected results: "Terminological dictionary of Kazakh folklore science" will be published. Applicability of the results: a dictionary of terms and concepts of folklore studies will enable researchers to obtain information about the current achievements of Kazakh folklore. Potential consumers: specialists of domestic and foreign humanitarian science, scientists, teachers, doctoral students and Master students interested in Kazakh folklore science. The aim and objectives of the project. The main goal – is to systmatize the scientific terms used in folklore studies, their typology and, and by selecting the most optimal variant among several terms, compile a new modern vocabulary of terms of folklore science which will meet the requirements and achievements of modern science, i.e. form the terminological base of Kazakh folklore. The objectives of the project: - to form a register of all concepts and terms used in Kazakh folklore science, to determine dictionary content, to explain the words included in the register, systematize, classify; - to conduct comparative analysis of the terms used in folklore science and literary studies; provide definition of common concepts and terms; - to provide justification and formulation of the selected terms; to familiarize with similar research works in domestic and foreign science related to the project and subsequent application in the terminological dictionary.
